I've been singing "Ramblin' Man" for the last 2 days - I HATE that song, don't know why I'm singing it. Weird....

Work continues on Bill Miller's project that Judson Spence has been producing. It is going to be a great project - very, very vibey and Bill is singing great. Judson knows where to find the vibe, and how to preserve it throughout the recording process - not easy to do...

Also working with Mark Heimermann on some tracks for Michael Tait. They are the first songs that have been completely recorded AND mixed at The Workshop, and they turned out great!

Jordan Critz came in from D/FW with Timmy Jones from Memphis who laid down some killer drum tracks for Jordan's new project. Timmy played his butt off, and we got some great sounds on his vintage Slingerland kit.

Looking forward to next week when I get to hang with Nate Sabin again. He's coming down from Minnesota with a new project that we will be tracking out at DarkHorse.

Finally, John Mayfield from Mayfield Mastering has been out to my studio and helping me dial in some little tweaks to get the room sounding top notch. We've altered the monitor placement slightly and improved the imaging and extended the low-end frequency response. Very cool, thanks John!

keep it real,
