Christmas in July

No, I didn't get any presents, but I've been working on a Christmas project - which begs the question, why can't record labels plan far enough in advance to record these things in December when people are actually in the Christmas spirit? It's hard to think about a White Christmas when it's frickin' 100 degrees outside!!!

Well, The Dynamites have 2 new songs mixed - one for a movie soundtrack and one that will be on their full-length record coming out next spring. We have 3 done for the new album so far... We cut them to analog 2" at 15 ips and mixed to analog 1/2" at 30 ips - man I miss that sound! Slow week this week, most likely because July 4 is smack-dab in the middle of the week, but it will give me a chance to clean up around the studio, and prepare for some projects upcoming - one of which will be with Isa Couvertier who is awesome. We will be recording later in July, working on songs for a new cd.
The heat here is ridiculous, too hot to do anything - but relief is in sight with trips to Colorado and Washington on the books!
