Sword-play

Finished an incredible week of tracking this week at Paragon Studios with a powerhouse band (drummer Ken Lewis, bassist Mark Hill, guitarist Jerry McPherson, and keyboardist Tim Lauer, along with the Love-Muffin Orchestra on strings). We ate some great food, cut some great tracks, and had a great time doing it - oh, and we got paid as well - this is too good to be true! Friday night we found a huge sword in the studio (?don't ask?) and after that, the hi-jinx were on.... I laughed so hard I though I was gonna puke. Here are some pics form the week - Take Care, TR...

Playing with Dynamite....

I've got The Dynamites in the studio this week mixing some hard-core, deep-soul funk. We're having alot of fun messing around with old spring reverbs and analog tape machines in an effort to make things as grungy-fun as possible. It will be a really original record, and I recommend you go out and get the vinyl 12" as soon as it comes out!!! Go to Grimey's (www.grimeys.com) and they will treat you right...

Tracking this week...

I'm tracking this week out at the Darkhorse Lodge with producer / drummer Scott Williamson.... Also gearing up for the new Dynamites mix next week and looking forward to some upcoming projects that are gonna be really good! Isa's new record has been finished and mastered, so look for that soon. For you tech-types, we mastered her record thru nothing but a Prism compressor, with no eq or limiting - so it sounds EXACTLY like it did in my studio, with a little Prism compression added for its smooth tone...
That's it for now...
