Spring...
Springtime has arrived in Nashvegas after a late winter blast. Last Sunday it was snowing, but yesterday it was sunny and 75. I'm back in the studio tracking with Little Big Town on their new project. They are really fun to work with and they are making a really cool record. I have finished up a record I produced for Sarah Bauer, and I'm mixing a project for a new Australian artist, Alisha Merritt, beginning later this week.

here are some pics from the Little Big Town sessions. That's a 1959 all original P-Bass in the lower right corner that was the bass sound of life!!!! - peace,

More Music...
I'm finishing up mixing on Sarah Bauer's new release, and then I'll be back in the studio next week with Little Big Town, tracking some more songs for their new release due out later in the summer. I have alot of cool stuff coming up, including mixing a Joe Rogness record and 2 weeks tracking with my good friend Nate Sabin coming up in June. Be sure to check out these recent releases:

Isa Couvertier - Raw Sessions
The Dynamites - Kaboom! (releases June 12)
Jason Gray - All the Lovely Losers
No time for fishing
My fly-rods are all geared up, but there is no escape from the studio right now. I have begun work tracking a new record for Little Big Town with producer Wayne Kirkpatrick. They are a kick-butt country group from Nashville having a lot of success right now, and I was thrilled to be invited to their party! We cut 5 songs in 3 days, and everyone of them was killer. I can't wait to get back for round 2 of tracking and see what else they have in store... I'm finishing up a record for Sarah Bauer from Indy, and I begin mixing a project for a new Australian artist later this month, and May and June are booked up as well!!! Hoping to get a little fishing in before the heat arrives...

Look for the Dynamites to release on June 12, their album rocks! Here's a quote about The Dynamites from music critic Chris Morris (Billboard, Hollywood Reporter, etc.). He hosts a weekly radio show called "Watusi Rodeo" on 103.1 FM in L.A.

Charles Walker is a freakin' genius, the Dynamites rule, Kaboom! is totally happening, and "Dig Deeper" is one of the greatest deep soul performances I have ever heard. I cried the first time I listened to that tune. Really. I had no idea anyone could make records that sound like that anymore. But they do, thank God.
Feel free to quote me. Expect "Watusi Rodeo" airplay and whatever press support I can muster.
And send some more copies if you can -- this is a record I feel the need to spread around.
Get down! --soulfully yours, Chris Morris
