More heat...

I have recently been informed that my website is in need of "more heat"... I therefore bring you The Burning Man - dedicated to my old friend John Duncan - the only man I know who could ever combine fried chicken, The Jabberwocky, William Shatner, Led Zeppelin, a fender P-Bass, and stage-diving into an unforgettable night of rock-n-roll! His band "Sammy Cax" absolutely shredded 12th & Porter one night about 10 years ago (!!!) and left no man, woman or child standing in their wake! I was there. I saw it first hand. I was one of the few who escaped un-scathed and lived to tell the tale...
You think you know all-things spicey? We need to kick it old-school on Dickerson Road down at Prince's Chicken, my friend --- BRING THE HEAT!!!

I'm of the belief that if turkey & dressing were so dang good, we'd be having it more that once a year, and it would be on the menu of restaurants other than the Cracker Barrel. So... my family and I went to the new Whole Foods Market (which has pulled Nashville a little closer to 2007 that it was before) and loaded up on killer cheeses, sausages, salumi, olive oil, smokes salmon, etc. etc. We added in some nice wine (which you have to drive elsewhere other than Whole Foods to buy due to our arcane liquor laws - don't get me started...) and enjoyed several days of gourmand-type snacking. It was great! And no turkey, dressing, mash potatoes, corn, etc. in sight!!!
Now, I fell a bit behind in the rush to complete everything before T'giving, so this week I am mixing Tara Graham's project,, and finishing up Misty Edward's cd. Both of them are really good and I have really enjoyed working with the talented ladies...
Coming up - more Nate Sabin, finishing (finally) the Andrew Peterson disc, and some 'Cowboy' Chris Harris sessions that will feature lots of laughs...
See ya,

The leaves in Nashville are turning some unbelievable colors this year! Really pretty stuff. I am busy mixing a new release for Misty Edwards form Kansas City - really cool rock stuff, and she's a great singer. Trying to get everything wrapped up before T'giving so I can hopefully get out and do a little fly-fishing before the temps get too frigid.

Recording some AWESOME tracks with Tara Graham at my studio this week. We are working on her new / debut EP and it is gonna kill! She has an incredible voice and some incredible songs. Ken Lewis is playing drums & percussion, Mike Brignardello playing bass, Brennan Aerts on guitars, and the Roachmeister on synth.
Before Thanksgiving, I will finish Tara's cd, put the final tweaks on the Andrew Peterson disc, finish up some mixes for Josh Motlong, and mix a new release for Misty Edwards - whew!!!
I better get back to work....
