Still Blazing...

...and with no end in sight!
It's been awhile since I've updated my site. So long, in fact, that some guy emailed me and asked me to update my diary so he would know what I was working on. So at least I have one reader (besides my mom....) - so this goes out to you, Micah from Chicago...
I am putting the finishing touches on a mix for Nina Landis, from California. It is a great record, and she is a really, really great singer. Brandon Hampton and Jared Logan are mad-scientists extraordinaire, and they have pulled together a really cool sonic pallet for this cd. I hear influences of Sarah McLachlan, Bjork, and Fleming & John. This is a really cool cd that am glad I got to be a part of.
Brian Bates' cd is finished and out. Nate Sabin has 3 more projects coming my way (yes!!!), and there are some mixes on the horizon for downhere and Ronnie Freeman as well, so March & April promise to be very, very studio-intensive!!!
Curb Records is releasing another Marie Mill single that I recorded and mixed (prod. by Mark Heimermann) called "Mother Must Be Prayin'", and it is probably my favorite track that we did with her - so keep a listen for that.
Random Thoughts:
Why do I have to my sales tax on something I rent?
I just saw "No Country for Old Men" and I was not blown away...
In Tennessee, 2 bills are being introduced: One to allow the sale of wine in grocery stores, and another to allow you to carry a gun into a bar. Ironically, selling wine in grocery stores is being touted as more dangerous...
"Into The Wild" is one of the best books I've ever read - I can't wait to see the movie...
Thanks for stopping by,
T
