Mixing 6 songs on the new Down Here record it it rocks! I hate the "it's this band meets this band" analogies, but if you like Keane and also like rock guitars, then this record is for you... New updates I've done on the site (look to your right --->) include a page of some of my favorite links, and a page where a lot of the indie stuff I have worked on (and enjoy so much) is assembled in one place. Each artist / album is linked to make it easy to learn more about the artists and buy their cd's!!!
Thankfully, I'm pretty booked up thru March with some cool projects coming in; one from Timmy Z up in Minneapolis, a Brazilian project sung in Portuguese, and record for Jordan Critz out of Fort Worth. Should keep me entertained and out of trouble until the weather improves and allow for some good fishing...

With the kids back in school, the schedule this week should feel like it is a little more normal. I start in mixing a Celtic project today for Sheila Walsh that we tracked back in November at Blackbird.
The Dynamites 45 has proven to be a big hit, and is already in rotation on WRVU where they are playing it right off of the acetate pressing. Just like the old days, we mixed and mastered and had it on the radio inside of 48 hours - the way it should be done, music for the people!!! Do not miss their show Jan. 20 at the Mercy Lounge - it will be slammin'. Pick up a limited edition vinyl 45 while you are there. Only 300 are being pressed, and they will be on red vinyl with a yellow label - pretty slick.... If you don't like it, I'll buy it back from you - how's that for guarantee????

Just finished mixing some old-school funk for the Dynamites. They are the real deal! Catch them later this month at the Mercy Lounge. We mixed 2 songs for a limited edition single being pressed to vinyl 45's (remember those!?!?!) Now if we can just find mastering house with a 1/2-inch machine and a lathe.....
